These terms cover your use of Kitebubble (the "app") and its AI features. The app is made by Infinity Systems LLC, United States ("we", "us"). Contact: support@kitebubble.com, Infinity Systems LLC, Wyoming, United States. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://kitebubble.com/privacy).
1. Your license to use the app
Recommended option: Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA", https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) is your license to the app. These terms add to it. If the two conflict on the license itself, the Standard EULA wins. Why: Apple already applies it in every storefront and it meets Apple's required terms, so we only add rules for our own AI service.
Alternative: our own custom license, uploaded in App Store Connect. It must then include Apple's minimum terms (for example, Apple as a third-party beneficiary).
2. Your comics, your responsibility
- The app is a reader. It does not sell, supply or link to comics. You bring your own files, from the Files app or from your own comic server.
- Only open files you have the right to read, such as copies you bought or own, or works that are free to use.
- You are responsible for the files you open and for any comic server you connect. Home servers (for example Komga, Kavita or OPDS servers) are yours or a third party's, not ours.
- You keep all rights you have in your files. We get no rights in them. When you use an AI feature, you allow us and Anthropic to process the content you send only to give you the answer.
3. Acceptable use
Do not:
- open, translate or process illegal content, including content that sexualizes minors, or content you have no right to use;
- use the app to copy, share or publish translations of works you do not have the rights to;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or get around the limits or checks of our AI service;
- call our AI server from anything other than the app, or share or resell access to it;
- use the AI features to break the law or the rights of others.
We may stop or limit AI access for a subscription that breaks these rules.
4. Free, Pro and Pro + AI
- Free: the full reader with up to 3 books.
- Pro: a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited books. It is available through Family Sharing.
- Pro + AI: a yearly, auto-renewing subscription that includes Pro and adds the AI features. It starts with a 3-day free trial.
Subscription terms. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, and the yearly price is charged when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Apple handles all payments and refunds; we never see your payment details.
5. Fair use limits
To keep the AI features fast and affordable for everyone, Pro + AI has these limits:

When you reach a limit, the AI feature pauses until the next month (or until the trial ends and the subscription starts). The reader itself keeps working. We may change these limits with notice in the app.
6. AI features
- Translations, recaps and "Who is this?" answers are generated by an AI service (Anthropic) through our server. They can be wrong, incomplete or miss the tone of the original. Do not rely on them for anything important.
- Recaps and "Who is this?" use only pages you have already read, but may still get facts or characters wrong.
- Read Aloud voices are synthetic. They are Apple's built-in voices on your device. They are not the voices of the original actors or any real person.
- AI output is for your own personal reading. Do not publish or share it as an official translation.
- The AI features need an internet connection and may be unavailable at times.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy (https://kitebubble.com/privacy) explains what leaves your device and what we keep. In short: no account, no ads, no tracking, and nothing you read is stored on our server.
8. Third-party services
Apple (App Store, purchases, voices), Cloudflare (our server's host) and Anthropic help us run the app. We are not responsible for services you choose to connect, such as your own comic server.
9. No warranty
Placeholder: the app and its AI features are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
10. Limitation of liability
Placeholder: to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by your files, your comic server, or reliance on AI output.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time and delete it. Cancel Pro + AI in your App Store account settings. We may end or change the AI service; if we end it, we will give notice in the app.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and tell you in the app before important changes apply. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the app and cancel your subscription.
